okay I got the book quickly and in good shape.but the book itself did not live up to the description and was pretty useless as far as helping me.it was not easy to understand.
why can't they drop it 2 dollars so i can purchase it. i only sampled it as i am unhappy about the cost. although it is very good it cost more than what we were told on oprah. we expect the cost to be 9.99 or under.
As they say: you teach a man to fish. Yep, I knew buying this for my son to compliment his new i-pod nano was a great idea. He easily found answers that he would typically ask me to find for him.
It refers to the pudgy third gen Nano as the latest thing. Not so. There's still a lot of good content here, but it is not as current as you might want. This book (the 6th edition, that is) was published on the heels of Apple's recent updating of the iPod line with the new Nanos and Touches. I naively assumed that the timing was so that it could have the very latest info about the newest iPods.
I still have multiple albums in my library that hold the songs of an individual artist on a compilation album and I can't seem to get them back together under one album. I always thought I was tech savvy, but after getting a Touch and trying to set it up with my old cds, I found myself struggling. As a general primer for someone trying to learn the iTunes and iPod universe it does a fine job. Its a minor frustration so far. This book helped me get my head wrapped around the concepts of iTunes and the iPod. I'm still having problems ripping cds, especially compilations or collections and it hasn't answered that issue.
